okay so we have read the response that we have gotten, well so far i have read them, and it seems as if the idea or concept behind this contest isn't well understood. i will try to explain the contest here quickly to simplify it because it is really an easy contest!

so no my little explenation of what we were asking of...taking in the comments we have received!

"The idea is to create a concept piece based on ONE 30 Seconds to Mars song off of their FIRST album, the self-titled 30 Seconds to Mars, OR one of the unreleased tracks (if you don't have them, they won't be provided)"

well let me explain this, what we are looking for is ANY kind of original creation inspired by ANY song off of 30 seconds to mars' Self Titled album [i]or[/i] ANY unreleased song that they have written. make sure to include this inspiration in your artist comment so we know what the inspiration is.

we will be accepting any traditional mediums, digital art, (quality) photomanipulations, photography, prose and poetry.

we DO NOT want the main focus of any of the pieces to be a portrait of ANY band member! that will defeat the purpose of the contest! you can include a portrait somewhere within your piece but it CANNOT BE the main focus!

We are doing this contest to encourage creativity! to make us all step outside of drawing portrait and be more creative!

we have gotten suggestions to modify the contest more, but this contest really is wide open! just no portraits or use of any other inspiration other than s/t or unreleased tracks or fanfictions.

that's three things we are just asking not to have, meaning there are hundreds of other things that can be done!

we will most likely extend the contest because we understand that most of us are in school and we have a lot of assignments, so we will look at the dead line we have posted and modify that. but as for the rest of the guidelines i personally think that it doesn't need to be changed.
